European University EUTOPIA Expands With Three Uevas Instituciones

EUTOPIA universities are student-centered

The three leading universities that will join the consortium this September are Università Ca’Foscari Venezia (Italy), Technische Universität Dresden (Germany) and Universidade NOVA de Lisboa (Portugal). The extension ceremony on September 16, 2021 took place at the residence of the Italian Ambassador in Belgium in the presence of the main European and local stakeholders.

The European University EUTOPIA announces its expansion with three leading universities that will join the consortium this September: Università Ca’Foscari Venezia (Italy), Technische Universität Dresden (Germany) and Universidade NOVA de Lisboa (Portugal).

The extension ceremony on September 16, 2021 took place at the residence of the Italian Ambassador in Belgium in the presence of the main European and local stakeholders and with a UPF delegation made up of Oriol Amat, rector of the University, Toni Luna, vice-rector for Internationalization, and Pelegrí Viader, Commissioner for the EUTOPIA project.

This expansion reflects the desire of EUTOPIA universities to broaden, broaden and deepen their efforts to strengthen their complementary capacities and offer their students, staff and research communities a more complete and connected range of international and intercultural opportunities.

EUTOPIA universities are student-centered , working towards social cohesion by striving for excellence and inclusion, transcending national and educational boundaries to develop innovative pedagogical models and promoting the movement of people and ideas.

The three new institutions provide strengths that will reinforce and promote the mission of the alliance

Originally established as Italy’s first business school in 1868, Ca ‘Foscari University of Venice is a multidisciplinary institution offering a wide range of study programs in economics and management, modern languages, humanities and sciences. Today, the university is also exploring new areas of research focusing on climate change, public and digital humanities, environmental humanities, digital transformation, and social innovation and nanoscience.

The Technical University of Dresden is one of the largest technical universities in Germany and a national leader. It is made up of 17 faculties and offers a wide variety of programs . He does research in very diverse fields, such as health sciences, biomedicine and bioengineering, information technology, micro and nanoelectronics or energy and the environment.

The NUEVA University of Lisbon was founded in 1973 and its main characteristics are the emphasis on sustainability, interdisciplinarity and innovation. His areas of expertise range from medicine to economics, engineering, the social sciences, and the humanities.
