The Congress party has announced the state president in Karnataka on Wednesday. The party has relied on DK Shivakumar for this responsibility. Shivkumar, who is called the troubleshooter, will take over as Dinesh Gundurao as state president. Along with him, Ishwar Khandre, Satish Jarkiholi and Salim Ahmed have been appointed as the Executive President of Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee.

Let us tell you that earlier DK Shivakumar was appointed the acting president of Karnataka Congress in 2009. Not only this, he was also the Minister of Energy in Siddaramaiah's government. While HD was the Minister of Water Resources in Kumaraswamy's government.

Along with raising funds and favors, he has been tasked to make Congress rallies a hit. <! -

The 57-year-old Shivkumar, who owns thousands of crores of assets, is considered Chanakya of electoral management.

In November last year, in the by-elections in three Lok Sabha and two assembly seats in Karnataka, he strengthened the party by winning the Congress in the Vellari Lok Sabha and Ramnagar Assembly seats, the stronghold of the opposition.

After the case was filed against him, he had said that the Income Tax has raided me during 2017 Rajya Sabha elections because of playing an important role in accommodating Gujarat Congress MLAs in the resort of Karnataka.

DK was also very active during the upheaval in the Congress-JDS government and went to Mumbai to persuade rebel MLAs. This is the reason why opposition leaders also believe their political skills.

Shivkumar meanwhile called it a political vendetta. At the same time, the Congress party also came out in support of its troubleshooter D.K. The ED had registered a case under the Money Laundering Act against Shivkumar and some others, including Delhi-based Karnataka building employee Hanumanthaiah.

The case was registered by the Income Tax Department on the basis of the charge sheet filed against Shivkumar in a special court in Bangalore. It was accused of tax evasion of crores and hawala transactions.
