The Alicante coast has registered 4 seismic movements in the early hours of Monday, as reported by the National Geographic Institute.

The first of the earthquakes was registered at 00:50 hours with a magnitude of 2.8 degrees on the Richter scale and with an epicenter at 1,000 meters deep.

Eight minutes later, at 00:58 the second seismic movement was recorded at a depth of 24,000 meters and with a magnitude of 2.0 degrees .

The third and most important was recorded at 01:04 with a magnitude of 3.8 degrees and 7,000 meters deep. It is the largest earthquake recorded in the province of Alicante throughout 2021.

Finally, at 03:11, the fourth seismic movement was recorded with an intensity of 1.9 degrees on the Richter scale and at a depth of 15,000 meters.

These four seismic movements, registered on the Alicante coast, could be related to the seismic swarm that has been taking place in recent days in the Alboran Sea, where 72 earthquakes have been recorded in the last 24 hours.
