In Tripura ruling BJP-led coalition, MLA IPF’s MLA Dhananjay married a woman who complained of rape and cheating against him. He told the correspondents on Monday in Tripura, “Yes, I have married a woman in Agartala’s Chaturdas Devta temple.” Amin Debbarma, lawyer of Dhananjay, MLA of the Indigenous People’s Front of Tripura (IPFT) said that the marriage of the MLA was concluded on Sunday in Chaturdas Devata temple.
Debbarma said that the agreement has been reached between the two parties and now they will not register a complaint against each other. The newly married woman is happily living in the Gadcharera district.
On receiving marriage certificate on Tuesday, the marriage papers will be handed over to the concerned authorities.
The woman filed a complaint in Agartala Women’s Police station on May 20 alleging that the MLA raped her and cheated her without getting married. In her complaint, the woman had claimed that the IPFT was remotely socially connected with the MLA from Remawali.
