New Delhi: Now the railways have announced to provide a big facility for special trains running on Rajdhani route. Railways has said that ticket booking for special trains running on Rajdhani route can now be done 30 days in advance. These tickets can also be purchased from the railway's reservation counter. In addition, these tickets can also be purchased from computerized PRS counters like Post Office, Passenger Ticket Facilitation Center. As before, the IRCTC website and app will continue to be available. Railways have termed it as an advance reservation period, which has been increased from 7 days to 30 days for special trains running on Rajdhani route.

Thousands of tickets were booked just minutes after the facility was introduced. Railways have decided to run 200 trains daily from 1 June, increasing the rail service in difficult times of lockdown. According to the Railway Ministry, a total of 5,72,219 tickets for 12,54,706 passengers have been booked for 200 trains starting from June 1.
